DESIGNER MUSIC LTD / DML

Designer Music is pleased to announce the creation of its own record label DML. The initial objective of DML was to digitally release back catalogue from Designer Music starting with Simon James’s first album Daybreak. That project has now been handed over to Choice Of Music in Germany.  Our first recording project was A Star For Christmas (2011) released on CD then The Art Of The Spanish Guitar (2013) on download only. Shortly after that we made A Star For Christmas available on download as well.

We went in partnership with Grammy-winning engineer and producer Mark Rogers to record A Star For Christmas. Mark worked for Decca, EMI Abbey Road Studios and Warner Music before turning freelance in 2004. Designer Music and Mark had already had a successful collaboration with artist Simon James on the album of Spanish Guitar music Azahar (2007) which went on to form part of The Art Of The Spanish Guitar. Since then there have been a number of other projects.
